Status - Concept phase
The starting line of this project was to develop a way to unify the existing buildings (Carrefour – Mobexpert – StripMall) of the site and to extend them with a commercial gallery. New connections, entrances, and e new dynamic of the space needed to be created. Situated in a low density part of the city, at the foothills of Bucegi Mountains, the site is already a successful shopping destination in Brasov.
The challenge of this project was to give a new face to the cluster of buildings, brands and colors of the complex and unify them under one roof. Inspired by the mountain landscape, we imagined a copper skin embracing and gathering the cluster of different volumes. The focus point of the new mall proposal was the vertical sculpture rising from the roof, a beacon of light reaching to the sky.
