This project came along with a special client, a friend so to say. He knew what he wanted in great detail, and he knew how to get it done. We were given a complex draft of the house, which included the exact place of the shower, among other similar specifications.
Therefore, the main challenge that laid before us was to embrace this well documented vision our customer had, negotiate its proportions, carefully split and shape the built volume in order to achieve a balanced and well integrated composition.
The house put the entire team to the test - architects, structural and MEP engineers had to gather up and find custom solutions to accommodate the particular demands of our client: uneven structural grids, custom forest-like column display on ground floor and first floor open areas, a generous console, various volume piercings and associations, complex technological fitting, and spontaneous “intrusions” of nature every so often.
